Toksun is the driest place in China, with only a few drops of rain a year. The most famous dish here is the mixed noodles, which are known as the best noodles in Xinjiang. It was quite late when I got there, and I saw that the Little Black Sheep was still open, so I came to eat a bowl of mixed noodles, and it tasted really good.

"Xiao Shijie" Domestic Tour 📍Xinjiang I ate there for two consecutive days and ordered several signature flavors. The |Signature Lamb Leg Pilaf^ is relatively the best because the meat is the leanest and tenderest. The |Lamb Neck Pilaf^ has a little more fat than the lamb leg. The |Minced Meat Pilaf^ is relatively cheap and affordable, but there is really not much meat. You can order it with other dishes when there are many people. The lamb skewers are also good and tender. When eating, you should mix the accompanying onions and carrot shreds into it to make it taste better. In general, the pilaf here tastes pretty good during these days in northern Xinjiang, but it is still different from what I had in Kashgar before. I feel that the rice grains are not oily enough and the meat aroma is not well integrated.
